In The Eye......

....it was very simple what you had to do, stare at each other, eye to eye, the first to turn away lost.

A competition which attracted a wide variety of the feathered community. It sounded simple enough, but was actually in reality really hard to do, especially for a long time.

But Gerald was a master of it, and had been allowed to enter by his family this time, with his particular steely eyes proving to have that eye-catching quality, with the ability to give anybody his steely eyed stare.

So an eye for an eye later, even the judges couldn't handle his steely eyed look, and he won his family a luxury Spa break and a weeks worth of suet for good measure, as his wife praised him, he couldn't resist ' Eye, eye Captain'.
