On The Road

Lovely clear roads for our trip out of Cornwall, the aim was to be in Newport mid morning for a late breakfast before continuing north.

I found this piggy on the forecourt of the bus station in Newport as we walked to breakfast.

Breakfast done we continued north through the Brecon Beacons aiming for Portmerion. Lots of roads closed which meant diverting on little more than tracks but we enjoyed ourselves.
We arrived a little after 4:00pm to a marvellous motor home pitch and brilliant facilities.
We were advised that we should head down to the village after 5:30pm when it was closed as we would have it to ourselves.
We enjoyed a great couple of hours in Portmerion Village on our own taking photos with no one else in them.
A beer at the hotel outside seating in the warm evening sun followed by cheeseburgers cooked on the camp fire, great way to end our first day.
