Apricots

I heard on the news yesterday that strawberries are at their lowest price due to a glut at the moment. I bought some of the market but they were no cheaper. It may be different at the big market on Tuesday. The apricots are abundant so I bought a quantity to make compote. The cherries are still very expensive but it has not been a good season. I met more friends on the market than usual so the social catchups took a while. I had to rinse the car down when I got back hoping I would not get into trouble for washing it on the street. We still have water restrictions. However, there was so much dirt on the car after the overnight rain brought in sand from the Sahara that it would have been dangerous to drive without cleaning all the windows at least.
