Right place...right time

I glanced at the traffic situation for my commute home before I left work and it said the motorway was very slow so I opted for the rural, long way home.

I'm glad I did because it took me through Cosford and there were two fighter jets having a good session above the RAF base.

There is an air show there this weekend and I presume they were doing practice runs. They must have gone past me 20 times and a couple of the passes were super low, very fast with after burners on.

What a sight and sound and I'm so glad I took the alternative route home.

It's for moments like this I always have a long lens in my camera bag even though it's big and heavy you never know when you'll need it.

Apparently these are two French Mirage 2000 jets.
