Black-winged stilt

we went to Peyriac de Mer today, a lovely village by an etang that has good easy walks around it. Had lunch in the square then went for a wander , hoping to see the flamingos we saw last time we were there. There were none around but I did manage to photograph a few other birds including this one which had some cute chicks (see extra ). The chicks had very long legs and seemed to walk around on their knees. Also saw an egret (another extra) .
On the way home we saw a large group of flamingos but they were too far away for any decent shots.
