Totally knackered

I pulled out these shoes this morning and dusted them over to wear for work.

Those shoes???

Yes!

They looked pretty good after a polish. Even though I've had them a few years, they don't see much wear because generally the weather is too damp to wear them all day.

As I got out of the car and started walking to work, the shoe on my right foot started to feel a bit loose. By the time I'd reached the office I could barely keep it on.

In the foyer, I took them off and looked at them ... and couldn't quite believe it. They had completely disintegrated!

Shoeless, I rang my Dad to come to my aid. He picked up some shoes from my home and brought them in to work for me.

He may be 78 but I still need him. Thanks Dad X
