Day 4

We're still at Villandry - it was always the plan to spend 2 nights here as a break from driving and the initial option was to visit the gardens of the Château, but, given the beautiful weather and the fact we've been sitting in the van for the last 3 days, a better leg-stretch seemed preferable. Followed a local signed route out across farmland (a dairy herd as the main Blip) and through woods, then up to where the River Cher flows into the Loire (extra; the Cher coming in from the righthand side). Some 14 to 15 Km in all - our elderly Springer managed, but he was making it known he was quite hot towards the end as the temperature had risen to the low 20s degrees C and there wasn't much of a breeze.
