Feeling Cool

Here’s Merlin in the stream cooling off by lying down in the cold water and having a long drink.

It’s actually felt quite cool at points today. This morning I visited the hygienist at the dentist and spent some time collecting a few items from the shops. It was busy out!

This afternoon at the allotment I put out some empty plastic milk bottles with their bottoms cut off, to protect some of my young plants from slugs and snails. As an added precaution I put a circle of copper tape around each bottle. Hopefully it will work.

When I returned my new Mammut walking boots had arrived. Very exciting! They fit well and are thoughtfully made. I’m looking forward to using them.

Grateful:
- To have time to wander in our local market town in the sunshine this morning.
- To meet two Vizla dogs and their owners on our walk today.
- To watch a kestrel hovering in the sky as it sought out prey. A wonderful feeling of wildness.
