Bank account

The steep bank beneath the track that runs above the property is one of my least favourite jobs. I got out the strimmer and donned a face mask against grass pollen. I more or less finished the job using a hedge cutter on the steepest sections.

Earlier in the week I cleared the green manure, rotavated three times with spectacular clogging by remnant woody stems of phacelia and planted cannellini beans in the fecund soil.

Later I cooked a steak over a small bbq and watched a 2015 film about Moby Dick. Some of my 18th century ancestors were traders in spermaceti oil.
