Hungry Cat

Swallowtail caterpillar devouring the fennel. This is most likely a Black Swallowtail cat. I've been seeing quite a few of them perusing the fennel plants lately. Lots of other butterflies this summer but the number of monarchs is way down. C and I returned from our Alaska Adventure nasty sick. We've tested twice negative for covid, so this must be a flu-type thing. Ugh! What a summer this has been and it's only June.
