Marbled White...

The sunshine brought the Marbled White butterflies out today on my walk in Essex so I was very happy to see them as I do love them!!

Had a lovely walk in the sunshine and lots to see too - yellow wagtails, goldfinches, hobby, skylarks, cuckoos, reed warblers, sedge warblers, redshank, geese, gulls, cetti's warblers, barn swallows and whitethroats.  My merlin bird app also picked up the sound of a Little Bittern but I didn't manage to see it - never seen one before so I'll have to keep watch next time!
