Famous lone tree

DDW's July Challenge - by Anniemay - "A lone tree"

This is no doubt the most famous lone tree in Orkney. It's in Kirkwall's main shopping street and just gets called the "big tree" - Left it in monochrome as light was pants at midday.. Did some cheeky street photography and got a couple of shots I am pleased with.

When I came home, my 50mm lens arrived and it's nearly orgasmic! I've never worked with 1.8 before and it's very interesting and expanding my limitations. I shall blip a shot with the new lens soon.
