River lily

Today the sun came out for lengthen periods, until the next shower. I was pleased to see the river lily hadn't suffered true damage apart from not being upright. It was easy to prop it up and get it posing. 

I thought this flower had three stamens and three stigmas until I read up on it. The source said it had a three-lobed stigma so I picked a spent flower from the stem and dissected it and it's true.

We're off to a concert at the Opera House this evening. Ravel, Brahms and John Adams. Should be good.
