Thursday - D Day 80

I've been completely caught up in D Day 80. I watched lots of coverage yesterday morning and I've had the radio on almost all afternoon. 

What happened 80 years ago is almost unbelievable. I cannot imagine my boys, at 18/19/20, going through what those young men endured and many died doing.

This evening, we walked up Roundway and watched the beacon being lit and enjoyed a beautiful evening.

The cows were very interested in proceedings but were startled when they heard a round of applause.
