Hydrangeas…!!

My Hydrangea shrubs at the bottom of the back garden have ‘lost the run of themselves’ this year…..!
But they are looking well….I cut them back very hard last year and they only had a couple of blooms….so that’s maybe why they have recovered so well this year…

No further news about the house in the West yet but expecting our surveyors report early next week as he completed it today..

In the meantime I’ve been busy baking ….wedding cakes…I’ve made the fruit cake …5 tiers of Victoria Sandwich and today a Coffee Cake …
I have the Carrot Cake and the Red Velvet Cake to do…
Sounds a lot …but they are all small cakes….I was hesitant about doing it but now that I’ve started I’m thrilled I agreed to do them…
My friend and I will spend a whole day decorating closer to the date..
All the sponges are wrapped and in the freezer.

Weather wise still very disappointing for June ….mostly dry…some ‘spits’ of rain …brief sunny spells but very, very chilly low temperatures and I’ve just watched the weather forecast….no sign of it improving greatly either..!!
