New Adventures

How many men does it take to put up a gazebo?

Apparently quite a few, especially when it's windy

The charity event went well today - we were all collectively walking around Strathclyde park, with the odd runner and a couple of us on bikes.  The idea was to get as many miles as possible collectively.  One of the Directors offered to run a BBQ to keep us all going and roped his team into the food.  I was happy that there was no drama, no injuries and that we've almost reached our fundraising total of £1000, also that the sun just about stayed out long enough for us to get some laps in.  Everyone else was happy that there was good food and mingling.  All for a great cause too.

It was also the first spear class of the year at HEMA tonight.  Had it not been, I would have probably gone home and curled up in bed, but I've never done spear before and have been desperate to channel my inner Trull Sengar.  It was hard but a lot of fun, I need to work on my arm strength.
