Lighthouses

Many lighthouses along this coastline (for obvious reasons) and we visited two today. The first (Rattray) was out to sea and now not manned although the houses for the Lighthouse men were relatively close by but deserted. It was sad to see them like this having had such a definite purpose.
The second visit (Fraserborough) included a lighthouse museum plus a tour of the old lighthouse, now replaced by newer one - also remotely operated. It had been built within the structure of an old castle (fortified house) and technically amazing with the chains that drove it dangling from top to bottom. Many other things seen along the way as we continue our journey north.
Dry (mostly) and sunny but cold.
