A day out with Charlotte

Today we went out with Ann's friend, Charlotte. We went to the poppy fields at Crantock and also had a very nice walk on the beach at Polly Joke. We walked for more than an hour and although I liked walking beside the poppy fields.................. the best thing I liked today was................. I found the mankiest of manky old balls on the beach. Yay! Obviously because Ann is a very nice doggie owner I was allowed to bring it home. I've been guarding it on the sun terrace for ages but I'm guessing that soon Ann is going to pick it up and put it into my manky old balls box?!


The humans also had lunch at the 'Bowgie Inn', which was very nice. Charlotte had a Ploughman's and Ann had a big bowl of Chilli/cheese nachos, and I got a whole bowl of water all to myself which I actually shared with another Collie who was very thirsty and it was all very yummy.

….............BUT......................OMG?!.................... don't you just hate ordering 'on the app'? Mega rant coming up. LOL!!..............My' human HATES ordering 'on the app'. Part of going out for lunch is pursuing the menu and deciding what one wants to eat. Not scrolling through a list of items on a tiny phone. …....When we arrived, the humans were told that if they couldn't do it on their phone, there were touch screens inside where they could order?! Obv pubs are going down the MacDonalds route!!!

Mmmmmm................... getting a proper paper menu wasn't an option??............... And then................ after Ann & Charlotte had decided what they wanted, they obviously had to pay via the app, and were asked if they wanted to leave a tip? Duh?!!! Why would anyone want to leave a tip when they'd done all the work themselves???!!! Oh and also the people on the next table had ordered pasties & Scampi and my humans hadn't even seen that on the menu. It's wrong, all wrong?!! Since lockdown, personal service just seems to have disappeared.

Having said that, the humans had a lovely lunch (which was delivered to their table without them having to go anywhere) and they had a lovely day out.

…...........And they're hoping to have more adventures together over the next few weeks and I'm allowed to go with them. Yay!!!
