Picked a Peck

While planting sunflower and wildflower seeds around the yard I noticed this Peck’s Skipper enjoying the buttercups decorating our un-mowed banking. Thankfully he remained along the edge where I could easily photograph him • Today is D-Day, a day we can never forget; a day to honor those who fought in WWII, and remember those who died in battle. My Dad and two uncles joined the Navy after Pearl Harbor was bombed. His youngest brother was killed early on in the war • MrsP and I have decided to enjoy the rest of the afternoon watching “Band of Brothers”, a mini series we’ve seen several times, and today seemed a good day to watch it again • peace & love
