Quiet contemplation

Went past the local memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the United Services Club on my walk today and thought about those who took part in the D Day landings eighty years ago.My walk also took me passed Crack Hill (see extra) where the Beacon will be lit at 9.15 tonight. I shall walk to the bottom on the road to see if I can see it but I certainly won’t make it up the hill.
