Poppy for D-Day

Most appropriately one of the poppies has opened just this morning and so I’ ve made a poppy abstract to commemorate the 80st anniversary of D-Day. We should never forget all those brave soldiers who were willing to risk and in many cases also lost their lives for the freedom of mainland Europe.

Waiting for DJ to return from a meeting so that we can go vote for the European Parliament, elections in The Netherlands today. Always good to remember why the EU was founded after WWII !
