Framed!

I saw these lovely framed prints at a shop in the Sunday flea market yesterday. I wasn't tempted to buy them but they were too nice not to photograph. The artist's name was J. Stirling. I've never heard of him but it sounds Scottish, doesn't it?

In any case when it comes to art, my taste is pretty classical - the Old Masters and that sort of thing. But I like some relatively 'modern' painters as well, Degas being my favorite.

In my room I have a print of this lovely painting by Degas. I am really mesmerized by his use of blues in this work and even though what I have is a very cheap imitation, the skill of the painter and his intelligent use of color just cannot be concealed.
