Intangible cultural heritage

I saw this sign and thought: "really?". A shooting club is a cultural heritage? (Intangible, so they mean the shooting club, not the range or house.)
How can shooting be cultural and worth to preserve?
I can understand that (some) people see it as a sport activity, after all if you want to do it really good you have to train and keep your body and mind healthy.

Perhaps I don't understand it, because I didn't grow up with weapons. Approximately 0.37% of the Dutch do have a firearm, whereas in Germany, 1.1% have one (or more). So it is more normal here. But still not that common (like in some other countries around the world).
