I’ve been in London today. It requires a very early start. The train should have 10 carriages but they don’t have enough rolling stock so it only had 9. The train was full when it arrived so I sat on the floor for the hour journey.

When I was in London five days a week I had more opportunities to explore.

My manager likes to explore so we went for a walk at lunchtime. We walked to City Road Basin, see the extra. It would have been used for loading the barges before they joined the Regents Canal.

In walking this far from the office it was as if we weren’t in London.

The building in the main photo was on the canal. It had been a terrazzo and mosaic factory which employed two hundred and fifty craftsmen. It’s now an office but what a stunning office.

There has been a lot of walking today so I’m very tired but it’s been a good day.
