of my kitchen clearly need updating.

Today was a bit busy

Swim
Brought the mammy for a good walk around the grounds of nursing home to see herbaceous border. One of the gardeners is 92 and has worked there since he was 14 - Holy Moly

Played tennis with Liz - ‘Jean your service has gone to the dogs since you had open heart surgery - you’ll have to do something about that” (no quarter given by this woman). I put my name down for Friday evening mixed doubles tournament. It will be a miracle if I’m picked - but who knows!

And then I went to view a car in a car dealers yard. I have absolutely no clue about mechanical things and don’t even know what questions to ask. My main concerns are: does the heater work? Does the radio work? But the great thing was that it was an estate car. And I won’t say why, but I have a thing for estate cars. :-)

So without asking any of the important questions (you know… what size is the engine; is there a service history; how many previous owners; nope. I thought the seats were comfy… so I put a deposit on it) yep.

I am ridiculously excited. Now havta ring the credit union tomorrow to get the ole funderoonies. I lead such an exciting life.
