An important day, I drove my son and his partner to the Family Court in Chesterfield, where proceedings were begun to enable him to have access to his daughter, now aged nine. The mother did not attend for reasons known only to herself!

My son had to wait until after lunch for his turn in court, so we had a wander around the town. Chesterfield is somewhere I've only driven through so it was good to see the church spire in all its twistyness from the churchyard.

I was supposed to be going climbing tomorrow but unfortunately I don't feel well and doubt I'll be up to it by tomorrow. Thankfully Fi will be able to tag along with two other club members instead.
