Tower of Masseret

The tower of this hilltop village can be seen from miles around. It is the most important feature that remains of the castle that was once on the hilltop. It must have had a very commanding view of the whole area. The tower is replicated on the mini-golf course beside the lake. I don't know how the cloud managed to be on the picture!
Having bought supplies in the village shop today we had a short drive around some of the local villages to soak up the atmosphere of the area. Perhaps we will venture further afield tomorrow. Limoges is quite near.
