W-I-D-E on Wednesday: A Summer Scene

Steveng’s hosting the Widwed challenge this week and would like to see summer (or winter) scenes – not much chance of the latter here at the moment! So I chose to take this rather pretty “chocolate box” scene on my morning walk.  There was a chilly wind but the sun was shining for a change – just as well as some lads are here to repoint one of our chimney stacks today.
 
Now: Many thanks to everyone who joined in the 400th Silly Saturday challenge last weekend, in memory of course of Admirer: we’re sure she would have been delighted to know that the fun challenge which she started still continues. My Editor and I really enjoyed looking through them and had some good laughs, which is what it’s all about. All the entries could have deserved a Heart or Honorary Mention but we restricted ourselves to 5 of each again. Here’s our final choices:
