What Do You Think These Are?

Managed to put sometime aside to use a DSLR to take a picture this afternoon, after many moons of crappy iPhone pictures. My grow your own mushrooms kit providing a suitably alien landscape, I probably should have got some smoke from somewhere but I wasn't really in the mood for a fag (note to self, buy some incense).

Part of the reason for putting some time aside for photography was that when I sat down to do some coding I realised that with my work laptop having been rebuilt (faster, better, stronger) and my home destop still being at the shop to see if it can be fixed I no longer have an AMP (Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack on it so I had to start again with an install of WAMPServer. All fine until I tried to set up my virtual hosts by copying the file from another install and editing it. 30 minutes of hair pulling and teeth grinding later I started again and just edited the default config which worked much better. By the time this was done however I couldn't be arsed with coding so I turned to photography instead.

Blisteringly hot day today and a fine day to strip to the waist and repair the chain on my bike in the 'garden'. Fairly straightforward process that brought me huge amounts of satisfaction, and it had to be followed with a ride down to the Water of Leith to test it works properly.

And Bonsai for dinner in the evening, rounded everything off nicely.
