Wildflowers collage.
The Feast Day of Saint Boniface.
World Environment Day. The slogan is "Our land, Our future." The aim, according to Shared Earth, is to protect and restore the Earth. It can be as simple as sowing some seeds or plant a tree. Join an environment group, in reality or online.
The weather this morning is a mixture of sunshine and heavy showers. 16c indoors. No heating on. There is a strong wind and it opened the sliding door of the greenhouse and knocked down a horse chestnut tree in a flowerpot. It all feels wild and unsettling. I found a dry spell to go out and buy the paper and the gardening magazines.
According to another blipper, it is Wildflower Week. I have joined a Facebook group to learn more about Wildflowers. I need to look at our paperback books on the subject too.
For anyone interested these are their names, left to right top, a wild geranium, mixed wildflowers grown from a packet of seeds and I don't know their individual names. Middle photo, crab apple flowers, bottom left white aquilegia growing wild in the church garden and aconitum or monk's hood.
Now to get on with the housework and drying some clothes.
Have a lovely Wednesday and take care if you have weather like ours.
