Hobbs's Run

Wall Bolts

Don't look now but Hobbs is on one of his grungy, gritty, shallow dof, black & white kicks. Sigh. These bolts are two of four that once used to attach something to the wall of this well nigh abandoned brick shed.

The "kick" in question, began pretty much by accident. For all those that wanted to know more about yesterday's mini nightmare ... read the italics below and check out the SOOC image that I had started with..

Penrith Plaza is a giant mall style shopping centre which recently decided to install travelators in its huge multi-storey car park. I assume that it was done to further faciltate the centre's use by disabled folk and wheel chair users in particular.

Thing is I had rarely seen anyone use the facility. I felt that in view of the stark lines and abandoned look, a little post processing might bestow a pleasant ghostly enchantment to the location. The first task was to remove certain elements  such as the unlikely person on the next landing.

To my utter astonishment, the super high contrast, high noise "pinhole" preset in Nik Silver Efex almost did everything in one fell swoop. Aside from some minor tidy up .. all complete. I could barely believe my bone idle luck
