Calm place

This morning began in a lazy fashion, lazy moments being interspersed with catching up on chores. After yet more lazying, youngest came along to Lidl for a grocery shop.

After an hour of heavy rain I wandered over to parents house for a cuppa before being taken for some 2 wheeled therapy by L'Biscuit. This culminated at Marple Junction, having a long natter on the phone with Ms Arell and alternating between a Bench & two Lock Beams to sit on.

Both were comfortable, more so than the stone steps of the old Toll House adjacent to where Biscuit was parked (bottom right) but I only perched on those for 10 minutes before heading back.

The house in the collage is Top Lock House, once owned by Samuel Oldknow, one of the sponsors of.the canal. The view bottom left is from the benches on the junction, looking east along the Upper Peak Forest Canal.
