Fuchsia buds
This is my fuchsia plant. I've had it for about three winters now, and it isn't dead. It is a hardy variety, Tom Thumb, which is just as well, given my inability to look after plants.
It flowers profusely every summer and loses its leaves every autumn. The first time it died back, I thought I had killed it somehow. Then I wondered if it was merely deciduous. I decided to cut it right back and see what happened. Miraculously, the next spring, it started growing again, and flowered profusely once more.
I'm always glad to see it growing again in the spring: it's reassuring that I have yet again not managed to kill it off.
I recommend the Tom Thumb fuchsia plant.
