Bikes

In fact, very new bikes. They all appeared a couple of weeks ago and, along the lines of the Boris bikes in London, you can hire one for an hour or two to get around the city. There are various places to pick them up or leave them around the bul'var ring which is like an inner ring road around the very centre of Moscow but the road is sandwiched around a pedestrian area that is lovely and green and in parts has great children's playgrounds. Great for strolling around on a hot Sunday afternoon.

Given by the number I have seen being ridden they are proving immensely popular.
