I Wish That I Had Duck Feet

One of our favourite children's books by Dr Seuss... I can recall a World Book Day dressing up costume based around some duck feet slippers for Sam.

Real ducks tried coming in through the back door today.  It wouldn't have taken much encouragement but I shooed them out.  They are thriving on the mealworm diet that I have been providing (as well as devastating the pond and plants surrounding it) so today I bought a load of vegetables and spent the evening chopping them up to mix with the mealworms.  

It's tricky - they can't yet fly and there is no other way of getting out of the garden (which is far too small to sustain 12 ducks).  

Duck feet would be appropriate today - it's been another day of rain.
