Young Magpie

This morning I went to one of my book group meetings. Then I popped into Tesco and bought a plant and some odds and ends. Then I purchased a cactus and some lavender plants on the way home. The lavenders will be planted tomorrow, weather permitting as it is raining this afternoon.
 
This morning there were two young magpies in the garden. They were unafraid of me and the one I am posting for today’s picture was very close to the back door. Unfortunately, it would not turn around for a proper picture.
 
The temperature at noon today was eighteen degrees Celsius.
