Big Hover!

I paid for an annual subscription to a garden this time last year and only managed one visit. So before it expired I went over to the Dorothy Clive Garden for a couple of hours. It will be a bit more of a drive once we move but is well worth the trip.

They have a small, but beautiful Laburnum arch which was well past it's best this year. Last year I visited on 1st June and it was still flowering beautifully. Everything was a little bit green tis year. So it seems I missed the Spring flowers and the summer blooming was just getting going.

I was chasing this hoverfly for a while but didn't notice the critter hiding in the bottom of the flower too.

The garden was created by Colonel Harry Clive for his wife Dorothy who had Parkinson's disease.
