Leura

We drove up to the Blue Mountains today. Had planned on stoping at a cafe in Medlow Bath but they are having extensive roadworks and there were no car parks. What a disaster, it’s the worst mess I’ve seen from roadworks.

So we stopped in Leura (The Bunker) and I spied this nice view from the veranda. We are stopping here 2 nights and have booked on the Hop on Hop Off bus tomorrow. We usually come here for family occasions so have rarely done the tourist thing in a such iconic Australian setting. Katoomba is the next town to the west, one most people know of. I’m sure we will learn heaps from the commentary tomorrow. We usually just drive through.

Spent the morning having 3 different medical tests routine for my age group. This will necessitate another GP follow up visit. It’s never ending all this medical stuff when you reach a certain age.

After our lunch we are staying in tonight having cheese, nuts and fruit for our meal. Suits me. I don’t think Leura is a night life hotspot.
