Molly on the Fence

The first thing that Molly, the Maine Coon, does when she is allowed outdoors in the morning is skim up the wisteria outside the kitchen and up onto the roof of the house. It is a very big roof and she spends quite a bit of time on it. She then drops down off the roof ...a big brave leap.... onto the fence on our southern boundary.
The fence is a great place to perch on as she can observe the starlings that sit and chirp in the elderberry tree which bounds the garden shed. It is a simple activity and occupies her for hours. The starlings are well used to her presence and give her cheek whilst carefully avoiding capture.
I am definitely going to come back as a cat......
