The new feeder has been sidelined! I know - it's devastating. But Rajah has taken a severe dislike to it, and knocks it over whenever he sees it. Seeing that my tolerance for with sweeping birdseed off the deck has now been reached, we have now gone back to the drawing board.
It's a shame, because the birds were just getting used to it.
It's easy to see that food is scarce in bird world at the moment. We are getting real action out there, and today we saw this lovely Eastern Rosella looking for seed. These birds are common enough, but shy, and normally stay in the more forested areas of the park, and rarely come into the backyard.
The exif data is stuffed again - this was taken on full zoom at 400 mm (the 200 mm plus 2 x extender).
