Fiddler on the Roof!

The name is John, he's a builder and obviously as fearless as our twins!
He was scraping the moss off the ridge tiles and then brushing them with some sort of anti moss treatment.
Rather him than me! He has spent winter in his villa in Spain but all last summer he was working on the house he is sitting on top of. We had new neighbours, a Chinese family who are lovely people and good neighbours. They gutted the house after moving in, decorated top to bottom, new bathrooms, kitchen etc. John converted the double garage into a bedroom, playroom, en-suite wet room for their son who suffers from Multiple Sclerosis. 
John also replaced all of the windows, soffits and gutters and downpipes, another hair-raising episode as those roofs are very high!
Also today I took the girls to Hillfield Gardens while Marlane was at the dentists. It's only a very short walk up the road from the dentist. The grounds Hillfield House, which at one time was a stately home, is an expanse of lawns with lots of different trees, a bit of an arboretum really. It also had some sculptures in the grounds but there is only one left. The extra shows the girls posing with it.
