We left beautiful Sun River today...where Mitch and I realized we didn't see a cloud in the sky for 4 days!

We decided to take a detour through Eugene on our way home with the hopes that Miles could run on the famous Hayward track. Growing up, Mitch was a HUGE Steve Prefontaine fan...even growing up in the Midwest. Mitch was a very determined runner growing up and wanted to run at UofO in college to be like Pre. However, once he visited the school he wasn't feeling it and decided to go to the University of Washington instead (lucky me...as that's where we met!).

Bummer for us, the field was not open to the public today, but Miles waited anxiously and asked us multiple times to open the gates. Sorry buddy! Maybe Miles will grow up to love running as much as his mama does...and be as talented at running like his daddy. That would be a pretty good combination!

Happy 6th wedding anniversary to my husband. He is a wonderful father to Miles Dean...and a great guy to have around. :)
