Yellow flags and stonechats
What a great walk Bertie and I had this morning. Although the breeze was a wee bit chilly, the sun was shining brightly and the birds were singing. The bracken has suddenly appeared and, in places, it is well over waist high. I was delighted to see patches of yellow flag irises growing along our route and I was finally able to get a shot of one of the many stonechats that teased me as they hopped from one perch to another (extra).
Once again back at home I made a large pot of carrot and lentil soup for Lunch Club tomorrow. Then I had time to do a bit of gardening before getting ready to go round to neighbours P and A, along with J and J, for a delicious takeaway fish supper from the Bellachroy. We had realised just yesterday that it is going to be several weeks before we will all be at home at the same time so we hastily planned this get together.
