The Darnley Sycamore

It is believed that Henry Stewart, Lord Darnley and Mary Queen of Scots sat under this tree whilst she was nursing him back to health. They stayed at his family seat, the nearby Crookston Castle. In 1565 they married in their 20s. Their son was James VI of Scotland and James 1 of England.
