River of Flowers

Monday: #30DaysWild - Mr. & Mrs. Bullfinch

Woke up too early but couldn’t go back to sleep, so got up at 6am - early night maybe tonight …

I’ve moved all the clear plastic boxes with trays of seedlings out of the greenhouse and onto the space opposite the lounge window. Moved my collection of terracotta pots too, though some are being used for this year’s flowers.

MrD cut the grass then went in his van to try to find somewhere which could undo the spare wheel bolt … everywhere was busy but he has a few more ideas for another day!

I’d bought a very small cauliflower when we went grocery shopping so today it became a fancy version of cauliflower cheese with a mashed potato base, cooked in the Actifry it only took 20 minutes and the house was full of the gorgeous cooking smell, MrD loved it … as did I :-))

Apologies for the very poor photo of these gorgeous birds, photo taken through the kitchen window, on maximum zoom, trying not to scare them - yes “them” the female doesn’t have the colourful chest feathers but is quite grey, slightly above the male and to the right - they were eating the seed pods of the violet with the dark leaves, as they were last Friday night :-))

Loads of love and hugs to all my family / Cariad Mawr
