Arms akimbo
I had to travel to Oxfordshire today to deliver the completed bungalow sale forms to the solicitor. For a change I decided to journey via Tewksbury to visit the Abbey famed for the medieval stained glass in its seven chancel windows. They are quite wonderful and the red, green, blue and gold colours remain astonishingly vivid despite their age. The Abbey also has some very fine Victorian windows (I got another, quite unusual St Cecilia for my collection) and the superb Laborare est orare windows by Thomas Denny from 2002. I'm always mesmerised by Thomas Denny's work and would normally have blipped those but today I've chosen one of the medieval windows depicting William de la Zouche and three de Clare earls from the early 14th century.
