After today’s work in the garden we took a walk along the local beach called The Kumeras - in time to see the sun sinking below the Western Ranges.

Looking up at the clouds I could see they were providing an interesting show across the evening sky in this direction too.


Today is a public holiday in NZ in recognition of the King of England’s official birthday. It seems so strange thinking of it in terms of Kings Birthday weekend - for all of my life it has been Queen’s Birthday weekend!
