My Bean

Hot.

Lovely day though. Church in the morning - we rode our bikes there, Bean went and spent the morning with Nat, Bear and I spent the morning in creche (he took my hand and dragged me off there twice, the second time I relented and we stayed!). Had a real treat. TWO baby cuddles. A 2-week-old, and a 3 and a half month old. Tea and coffee duty after the meeting, and Bear fell asleep in the meitai. Eventually we scooped Bean up and piled everything onto Steve and my bike and headed home to attempt to cool off in the garden.

I've been seriously restricting TV time this past week. Bean's been watching far too much and he's been turning into a real stroppy boy as a result. He's now allowed a maximum of two episodes of ANYthing per day. Tops. And preferably no tv. It's worked. He's a lot less stroppy, and a lot nicer generally! He had one episode of Mr Tumble today. Then we were out in the garden the rest of the day. The canopy is still up, the paddling pools got filled, the barbecue got lit, Steve built the beginnings of his chimney, I raced out to buy cornflour for tomorrow, the boys played, we cooked, we ate, we went for a walk down to a gallery to find the exhibition had finished an hour and a half ago (sob), we went home, Steve went out.

Two hot and tired boys tried to go to sleep and eventually sleep won and tired feet are resting up.

And I've spent the evening frantically prepping for tomorrow.
