Sunday scorchers - Scotney and Sissinghurst

Today was a full on day of exploration of Kent castles, houses and gardens.

First Scotney Castle - country house, glorious garden, 14th century moated castle Scotney Castle today's blip is my close up special from there.


Then onto Sissinghurst Castle... once home to the legendary poet & writer, Vita Sackville-West, and husband, Harold Nicolson, who started transforming Sissinghurst in the 1930s. Between them they created stunning garden rooms such as the White Garden and Rose Garden.

Home to a BBQ on the balcony and a few hours of editing the pictures.. really not looking forward to work tomorrow, if only every day could be like today!!
