The Girls’ Day
Hubby left before 6:00 am to help with the last Knights’ breakfast until September. I got ready and met him for 7:00 Mass. He made me a “to go” breakfast plate which I enjoyed at home. Hubby got home in time to go to Brooklyn’s last soccer game of the season. They lost 3-0. She injured her leg/hip in the first half during a dive for the ball. After two more collisions in the goal, she was begging for the bench. A goalie position is rough, see extra. We came home, ate more leftovers for lunch and then took Mackenzie’s 16th birthday gift to her. The grands’ traditional gift is a donation in their college account but I like them to have something to open and a bit of spending money. We’ve tried to find a day to take her out since we’ll miss her party next weekend, but her calendar is full. She dog sits most weekends or is out with friends. Kristen invited us to her low country shrimp boil but we have too much food from Mancil’s party. We’re home now and ready for a quiet evening. I hope your weekend was as much fun as ours. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by. “May the 16th year of your life bring you the courage to soar higher, the confidence to take unprecedented action, the humility to accept your mistakes and the tolerance to understand others. May this be the best year of your life.” - Wishafriend.com
